4: Closing Moments - A Strengthening Experience

Two weeks passed quickly. On the last day of the allotted period, we revealed our identity that we are brothers from Dharmaram College. All our co-workers were taken aback. They were in tears and asked us pardon for all their misbehaviour. Tears rolled down from their and our eyes. Parting, as usual, was very painful. We had a last look at the building where we worked. Bidding goodbye to all our co-workers, fixing our eyes ahead, we started our journey back.

As we returned, we had in mind a lot of people who helped us make our exposure programme a big success - our dear Rev. Fr James Narithookil CMI, rector of Dharmaram College and Rev. Fr Sebastian Mullooparmabil CMI, our master who visited us during our work and encouraged us, Fr Baiju OSST who was instrumental in getting our work and accommodation, and Fr Satish MCBS who too helped us in our search for work. Others who supported our programme were Lazar chettan, the contractor who assigned us the tasks, and Vijay chettan who gave us accommodation. Also, the powerful prayer support of our parents, friends, and the Bangalore Jesus Youth family was also instrumental in our successfully completing the programme.

Above all, we surely believe that it was Jesus who was strengthening us during these two weeks of our exposure programme. Thus, at the end of the day we three could proclaim with confidence: "It was not we, but Jesus who was working through us."
