Mananthavady is exemplary in its religious fervour and harmony. Members of all three Catholic communities - Syro-Malabar, Latin Catholic, and Syro-Malankara - live in the diocese, and take part in joint prayers and ceremonies.

Mananthavady is an extremely beautiful place in the district of Wayanad that is called the 'Green Paradise'. Mananthavady has large expanses of paddy fields, tea estates, dense cultivation, and lush green forests.
