Syro-Malabar Diaspora
The word "Diaspora" means the scattering of people, the phenomenon that we usually call 'migration'.
The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary defines "Diaspora" as: The process by which people of a particular nation become scattered and settle in other countries.
For example, the Anglo-Indian Diaspora would mean the scattering of Anglo-Indians worldwide especially in countries like Australia, England, Canada, and New Zealand.
Several thousands of our brothers and sisters live outside Kerala, yet maintain an unbreakable bond with their ancestral land. Whatever place and whatsoever trying conditions, we are there, for the sake of our family and our society. That is to say that there exist Syro-Malabar diasporas world over.
"Diaspora" is a category at SyroMalabar.com that showcases news and information, life styles and customs, and marks and achievements of the Syro-Malabar laity scattered worldwide.
