Holy Spirit Novena

Holy Spirit, Thou who make me see everything and show me the way to reach my ideal. You who give me the divine gift to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me, and who are in all instances of my life with me. I, in this short dialogue, want to thank you for everything and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from you no matter how great the material desire may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones in your perpetual glory. Amen.

Meditative Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit, Soul of my soul, Life of my life, I adore you, I worship you, I bow down before you.

GUIDE ME - In all my works (submit the works)
STRENGTHEN ME - From all my weaknesses (submit the weaknesses)
COMFORT ME - In all my pain and failures (submit your sorrows and disappointments)
SANCTIFY ME - From all my sins (especially this...)
HEAL ME - Of all my physical and emotional wounds (submit the wounds)

Help me forgive and love all who have hurt me. (Remember the names)

O Holy Spirit:
Lead me in the way of my Father
Reveal to me Jesus my Saviour
Open my eyes and heart
To the word of God
Teach me to Pray
Help me to love as Jesus loves.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Spirit of the loving God, enter our souls and make our hearts ready. By your light, illuminate the darkness of our minds; by your fire, warm our cold hearts; by your grace, fill us with your power. May we see what is right, do what is good, preserve in what is holy, and live in your love, your peace, and your joy. Amen.

St Augustine's Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit,
That my thoughts may all be holy.
Move in me, Holy Spirit,
That my work, too may be holy.

That I may love only what is holy.
