Real gems!

Let me share a pleasant news to the whole of Joynet.

This Christmas season is poised to give us more than just happiness. We can all celebrate, for we are going to have a number of jewels joining the Jesus Army during this Xmas.

During the Sunday Mass yesterday (December 10, 2000) at the Resurrection church, Indiranagar, Bangalore, Fr Jose Chennattussery announced that 44 CMI brothers would be ordained as priests over the one week following Christmas. He introduced two of those brothers who spoke to us between the Holy Mass. There are many more brothers belonging to other congregations, who enter priesthood during this period.

This sure is a reason for us to be glad. Let's all pray for these brothers, and others who are pursuing priestly studies. The two brothers, during their brief speech, told us of their 17-year long studies and waiting. They described the occasion of ordination as a "dream come true". More than the time and waiting, there is much more in the making of a priest. No wonder these priests later render yeoman services to society -- sacrifices, inspiration, education, enlightenment, guidance, to name a few. (Why take my word, refer back to the JY mails!)

Around this time a couple of years down the line, our brother Sony will also spark off another celebration!

Aren't all these our humble offerings for a wonderful gift we received 2000 years ago?
