Charismatic retreats have become so popular that it is very unlikely that we can find someone among us who has not attended at least one retreat programme. Many of us have attended several such programmes, and also motivated others to take part in such a programme of prayer and meditation.

Why is it that tens of thousands of people -- children, youth, and aged people alike -- find retreat programmes different? There must be something that relieves their strain, answers their questions, and gives them hope to move on in life. With new-found zest, they give testimonies of their experiences and encourage others to find the true meaning of life.
